40th Marine Corps Marathon

When my first born, Logan, made the commitment to be a
Marine i told him I'd run the MCM in his honor as long as
he is active duty. I've run 13 marathons and 5 of them
were the MCM so I am a member of the MCM Runners Club.
Logan graduated from high school on June 4 and leaves for
Parris Island on June 15. As easy as it could be for me
to
sit around all summer and worry about him, I decided to
lean on Team Marine Parents to keep me motivated to
fulfill my promise to my son and to distract me from his
absence. I figure if he can get up every day and face the
challenges of Boot Camp, then I can get up and go for a
run while raising money for outreach programs. Logan may
only be a recruit, but he is already my hero!
