I had not run very far on my runs since the MCM 50k. I did the Frozen Chosin’ a few weeks ago & I was just feeling like I wanted to get out there & run. 8 miles was just in my head, so that is what I made my goal.
There is a brand new outdoor sports complex near us that had a memorial for fallen service persons. It was erected by a friend & another friend’s son is honored by it. Normally there would have been a dedication, but thanks to COVID, there wasn’t one. The charity is called Pull Up Bars for Patriots, so it’s not just a memorial to look at. The organizer was a Marine himself.
It ended up being such a great run! The forecast changed from snow/rain mix to just cloudy with a light breeze. It was the perfect start to my Saturday!
