Running this year for TMP is taking on a whole new meaning. We have added so many runners and walkers who are inspiring me to do more. This is why I chose to start the year off right with TMP.

This event was a time for me to remember a Marine I have run for many, many times, PFC Michael Giannattasio. This 5K is dedicated to his mom, Jane. Thank you Jane for continuing to be my inspiration, support, and showing me so much love! I will never let him be forgotten. #January5K #TMP2021 #neverforget

Elliptical: 5 Miles in 30:30

1/24/2021
God Bless our troops...Marines are my heroes, always and forever.

I haven't exercised in months; since the Marine Parents Virtual Run in May last year. My elliptical at home quit working last year and the company Octane just replaced it Friday--literally, two days ago. Up to today, I did short "rides" of ten minutes twice a day and then had to stop. I didn't think I could do a 5K, and I ended up doing 5 miles. I am so committed to myself this year and ecstatic that I'm reaching some of my goals.

At this moment, my heroes are Shannon Perez, Lauren Brandkamp, and Alysia Simmons all part of the MarineParents.com TMP team. Without them, I could not have done this. They never gave up on me even when I had given up on myself. They kept encouraging me and I finally let them win me over...but this is a win for me! Thank you, Shannon, Lauren, and Alysia!
