My intention was to run a 5k every month this year but I ended up having surgery the week prior to this run so I only got a 2 mile walk in. I also didn't take a photo as I was pretty bummed about it.

For my beautiful daughter that shocked my soul when she told me she was going to the Marines. I was scared, uncertain but I trusted she made the best decision for her. Alexcia, momma bear loves you! Entering the military I didn’t know I was going to get a son, but she also made me a mother in law. Very proud.

It was a beautiful day for a walk in the City of Manhattan Beach, CA, such beautiful homes! And we came across a pop-up event featuring local artisans ❤ I must admit I felt like a kid 😉

I took my family for a hike in Palo Duro Canyon. The weather was beautiful. I chose the canyon because this was one of my Marines favorite places to go when he was home. What better way to honor military children than to choose a place my Marine child loves.

I’m in the Air Force and my team members and myself ran to support Recruit Readdy, as a former military child himself, and now in bootcamp to become a Marine.

Walked with my sister, and my daughter ran with her uncle. A beautiful day in Southeastern PA to celebrate Military Children and their sacrifices! My daughter, Natalya, ran/jogged her 5K in 43:00. All in honor of my son.

We as a Mother, Auntie and sissy ran our run in honor of Rct. Sanchez who is currently at MCRD San Diego following his dreams...
The 8.97 mile run was cold at 27° with a real feel of 9° 🥶 and snowing 🌨 most of the way. This was tough but nowhere near the pain and struggle my son is going through to be called a US Marine. Well worth it.

I walked for my son and all the recruits of Hotel Company, 2nd RTBN at MCRD.

I am amazed at the resiliency of Military Children. This 5K is dedicated to each and every one of them. Oohrah!! I registered at the last minute due to travel and I'm sure glad I did. Thank you MarineParents for another fine virtual event!

I participated in this event to honor all of the children in military families who sacrifice so much and share so much with so many. Not everyone realizes the sacrifices that Military Kids make on a daily basis and the challenges that they face. I also run for my Marine, my son, my hero.

My name is Cristian and I was so excited to do the bike run for my Daddy LCPL Luke McKinney. He is in 2/8, and an awesome Mortarman. My whole family came out to cheer me on, and a bunch of friends came too. I'm proud of my dad and love him so much!

Me and my fellow MoM (and two dogs Lucy and Bear) walked for our sons, our two Marines!

Our inspiration was our Grandson Jacob who is in boot camp at Parris Island.

This is for all the military families who sacrifice and survive their everyday lives without their loved ones! Thank you for all you do!
4/18/2021
I walked in support of all Military Kids. We need to remember they Serve Too.

This is the farthest we've walked since an accident last October. We walk for our son, a Marine who is currently stationed at Parris Island.

Beautiful morning in Indianapolis to complete my run in support of military children!
4/17/2021
My good friend Angie, and I walked to support both of our Marines today.

We've had record heat here in the PNW, what an awesome opportunity to get out and show support for our troops. And to my hero - my son - OORAH!!
4/17/2021
For my granddaughter (Marine) and me (Air Force). My wish is my granddaughter feels as honored as I feel to be called a Military Child.
4/16/2021
Walking every event while our son is in boot camp and in the Corps.
4/16/2021
Our son is in quarantine ready to go to boot camp. We want to show our support to the Corp any way we can as we are former USMC family

A beautiful day! It's gotten chilly again in Chicagoland, but that's spring for you!! :)

My husband is a retired Marine and I'm still Active Duty Air Force. I started running these events in January when my oldest son shipped off to quarantine. He just earned the title of US Marine last week and I couldn't be more proud. This run is very special. Our kids have moved and had us absent for periods in their lives and I know it hasn't always been easy, so today I run for all military kids, but especially for mine...Val, Conner, and Maison.
4/16/2021
I ran today in weather that was 20 degrees more than I usually run in. I then remembered my son telling me about his 2 hr workout carrying a 50# sack thru most of it. He is my inspiration and the reason why I continue to run! ❤🤍💙
4/16/2021
Ran for my 3 military kids plus my military grand!

My son is off the grid right now and can't be reached for two weeks. I pray daily for his safety and think of all the Parents and kids of Marines who can't be reached for much longer periods of time.
