I’ve worked with children for over 8 years now! So, when I heard about this virtual event for military children, I was so excited to support! My best friend pushed me to finish and get my best mile so far! I chose a 5k because my husband had his 5k hike this week during basic training!

We did this walk for my brother and my mom. I walked to say thank you to all of the families and kids who have people serving and for my mom and all the people who have said they want to dontate a kidney to help her get off dialysis and be here for me and my bother.

My daughter and I decided that to kick off our 2022 season we'd go stomp around the nature preserve with her puppy. We did this walk in honor of our Marine, who is a Marine in his own right but also the son of a Marine. I'm the daughter of a British SF Soldier. We also did this walk to celebrate the potential kidney donors that have stepped forward for me!

I was inspired to run this race because my granddaughter is a Military Child. This race was a beautiful run. Not one car passed me, the weather was brisk, and the crowd at the finish line was awesome (cows)!

My inspiration for the Military Child Walk was my son who’s starting SOI this week. Delta Strong for the next 9 weeks. Beyond proud of my “Military Child” who is living his dream to serve his country. ❤️🤍💙 God Bless and Keep You Always!

Today, I completed my 5K on my 50th birthday! What a great way to kick off a new decade! I also walk in support of my son, who will be going to Parris Island on June 13. I will miss him!

I have a lot of heroes…my dad is one of them. He worked on F-15s and F-18s through a defense contract his whole life. He was amazing and worked hard and was very proud of his work.
My friend and I are running the virtual runs each month in honor of my son who started with the Marines 6-months ago.

Levi Rylee Rose McCollum, was born almost 3 weeks after her dad, LCpl Rylee McCollum, one of the 13, was KIA on 8/26/2021 in Afghanistan.
The USMC Moms of TN walked in support of every Military Child and to honor this little Warrior Princess, whom paid the ultimate sacrifice of a Military Child, before she was even born.
And though she be but little, she is fierce.

The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.
Sunday is coming!!

I ran for my 2 nieces and nephew and all the other military kids I know. It’s not always an easy life for them and they deserve the recognition!
